About Plymouth

Plymouth vehicles were marketed by the Chrysler Corporation and in production for 73 years from 1928 to 2001. When the Plymouth automobile was first debuted in 1928, it was marketed as Chrysler’s first vehicle in the more affordable price range, a market that was heavily dominated by Ford and Chevrolet. Although the Plymouth cars were slightly more expensive, they offered stock features that the competition did not, such as hydraulic brakes. The Plymouth line is credited for helping the Chrysler Corporation survive the great depression with its low-priced vehicles. The last new Plymouth vehicle produced was the compact Neon in 2000.
